Ryan‘s work focuses on quantifying kinematics during running. That being said, he is well engaged with physiological interactions with gait, and is writing up a study investigating metabolic cost changes that occur when pushing a stroller using a variety of push-techniques. He found some kinematic underpinnings for the physiological changes, and also noted the potential for personal preference to overlay metabolic outcomes. Ryan’s paper on the stroller running study has been submitted for publication.
